About the Extension Program
The National Center for Mental Health (NCMH) is a government agency and mental health hospital responsible for rendering a range of quality psychiatric services nationwide. NCMH is located in Nueve De Febrero Street, Barangay Mauway, Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. It has a total of 35 Pavilions/Cottages and 52 Wards which sprawls on a 46.7-hectare compound. As the leading mental health care facility, NCMH is dedicated to delivering preventive, curative, and rehabilitative mental health care services. The NCMH was categorized as a Special Research Training Center and Hospital under the Department of Health on the 30th of January, 1987.1 NCMH seeks to provide responsive and comprehensive mental health services and envisions to be a globally accepted mental health center.

Purpose
Pursue research and development initiatives that will elevate the quality of the delivery of mental health services in the National Center for Mental Health (NCMH).
Strengthen the digital capacity of the National Center for Mental Health (NCMH) by
Documenting and analyzing the current state of health information system in the hospital
Analyzing gaps and potential barriers in the implementation of an electronic medical record (EMR) system for the NCMH including but not limited to, security, network, and infrastructure.
Assessing possible risks and challenges in implementing EMR for NCMH and develop risk mitigation plan, and;
Propose future state of the digitalization
Pilot the documentation and assessment to the Outpatient department
