Chipi Buenafe Advocates Tech-Enhanced Learning at Bulacan SDO's Hybrid Conference: Empowering Teachers in the Digital Ageย
Mr. Cyrus Paolo Buenafe, popularly known as Chipi, Department Chair of IST, spoke to the attendees on September 13 2024, during the SDO Bulacan's event, and expressed the message that the use of technology in education is no longer an option but a necessary requirement. Speaking at the 8 Waves Waterpark and Hotel, Chipi captivated both virtual and in-person audiences at the hybrid conference, which aimed to induct beginning teachers into the profession under the theme "Fostering a Supportive Learning Environment."
Chipi emphasized that technology had the potential to enrich teaching, making it not only more efficient but also more enjoyable. He explained how data management systems could make everyday tasks easier for teachers, making more time available to devote attention to what was really important-learning connections with students. Chipi's way was at once simple yet profound-technology is not meant to replace teachers but to empower them.
His message reminded everyone clearly that with technology tools, they can actually help create a more interactive and supportive learning environment for children, with every chance for children to flourish. Chipi ended his presentation with a firm call to action: start with small steps, embrace change, and fully use whatever potential technology has to offer into the field of education.
