On August 9, 2024, the UA&P IST Department visited Barangay Captain Raymond Lising of Barangay San Antonio for a courtesy meeting focused on strengthening their ongoing collaboration. The team began by discussing the students' capstone projects, seeking updates on both the ongoing and completed ones. They were interested in understanding how these projects were making an impact in the barangay and looked for ways to ensure the projects were meeting the community's needs. This conversation was aimed at aligning the students' work with the barangay’s priorities, making sure that their efforts were practical and beneficial.
The IST team also took the opportunity to ask Captain Lising about any areas in the barangay that might need improvement. To find out how the department could assist further, whether through new projects or by refining existing ones.
